The cryptocurrency market finally closed green again last month. After about two weeks, the prices of most crypto started to pick up again, market sentiment started to turn positive again and it does not seem like the end of this bullish cycle yet. Total market capitalization was still at $1.41 trillion on July 1, and has risen further from $1.68 trillion in the past 24 hours to a peak of $1.74 trillion. This morning, it drops back slightly to $1.72 trillion

Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin (BTC) continued to hover around $42,500 after Friday night’s sharp rise from $39,000 to $42,000. In the early hours of this morning, bitcoin suddenly rocketed to a peak of $42,650, but then corrected right back down to $41,750. That could mean that the bitcoin price will soon make another attempt to break through $ 42,000, but the trading volume is slowly decreasing again. Because bitcoin is stuck today, many altcoins are again given the space to make further gains. Bitcoin’s dominance drops to 45.5% today. SHIB Shiba inu is well known in crypto.

altcoins

Ethereum (ETH) completely decoupled from bitcoin last night. The ether price hovered around $2,450 on Saturday, but started rising sharply late last night. This morning, the price peaked at around USD 2,630 with an increase of 7.3% overnight. At the time of writing, ether is correcting slightly lower again to USD 2,600. Ether may form a new higher low here and the price is getting ready for a further rise.

We also see binance coin (BNB) picking up strongly in the top 10 largest crypto. The BNB price briefly touched a peak of $350, but then corrected again to $343.40. BNB is therefore still 6.5% in the plus compared to 24 hours ago. Cardano (ADA) peaked at $1.39 this morning and is up 4% today. Ripple (XRP) peaked at $0.777 and is up 2.5% and dogecoin (DOGE) peaked at $0.22 and is up 3.5%.

Of the top 10 largest crypto, polkadot (DOT) is the fastest riser today. The DOT price made a nice jump last night and is up 12.6% today after rising from $16.35 to $18.35. Just outside the top 10 we see solana (SOL) picking up strongly. The SOL price made two good jumps yesterday afternoon and last night, rising from $32.71 to a high of $35.50, an increase of 8.5%. At the time of writing, the SOL price drops slightly to $35.59. Ethereum (ETH) is well known in crypto.

The fastest gainers in the past 24 hours are siacoin, which is up 33.3%, and quant (QNT), which is up 35%. The QNT price continues to perform impressively recently and just set a new all-time high (ATH) of $171.49. Quant is also the best performing price of last week and is 110% in the plus compared to a week ago.

Axie infinity (AXS) was the fastest riser last month. The AXS price rose by no less than 565% in July, but is today one of the few prices that turns red. A large part of the top 100 largest crypto closes July in green, but that does not apply to all prices. Dogecoin (DOGE) lost 12%, celo (CELO) 18% and shiba inu (SHIB) and telcoin (TEL) both fell 20% last month.
